The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was started in the year 2011 in School of Engineering, Gayatri Vidya Parishad College for Degree & PG Courses, Technical Campus. This department offers B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering course. Currently, four batches of students have passed-out, out of which 152 students have graduated in first attempt.
Electronics and Communication Engineering is the branch of Engineering in which the students are trained in the science of practical and theoretical foundations of Electronics Devices & Circuits, Communication Engineering, Analog & Digital ICs, Microprocessors, Digital Signal Processing and Microwave & Fiber Optic Communication. The students are exposed to sophisticated laboratories and latest trends in Communication Engineering.
The Electronics and communication engineering program strives to graduate engineers of the highest quality and to conduct state-of-the-art research. The Electronics and Communication Engineering program dedicates itself to providing students with a set of skills, knowledge and attitudes that will permit its graduates to succeed and thrive as engineers and leaders. Admissions under Category "A" (Convener’s Quota-70% of intake in each branch):
A Candidate for admission to the four-year degree course in Engineering must have passed the Intermediate examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects. All the eligible applicants for admission into First Year shall have to qualify in the EAMCET Examination conducted by the Govt. of AP. The candidates will be admitted strictly in accordance with the merit secured at the Entrance Examination keeping in view the rules in force regarding the reservations of seats of various categories of candidates. The candidates should satisfy local/non-local status requirement as laid down in the AP Educational institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order 1974 as amended from time to time.
Admissions under Category "B" (30% of intake in each branch):
The seats shall be filled as per the rules given by APSHCE.
